Plovdiv - Part 2

Plovdiv has an incredibly maintained Ancient Roman Theater - they still use it for performances! We took all the kids up to the gate to look down into ampitheater, and the guy selling "tickets" to go in let us bring all 30 people in for free!

I'm an '08 graduate of Elon University, and a currently serving Peace Corps Volunteer in a small city south of the capital of Sofia in Bulgaria.

Until April 2011, I will be continuing to work with Roma youth at the only NGO in my town that works towards efforts of integration in the Roma community. Primarily, I help run an afterschool program that incorporates life skills, English and Bulgarian language classes, arts and crafts, and sports.

It's been a bumpy road, but after a ski accident that brought me home for the better part of a year only 6 months into my service, I'm in it for the long haul! Or at least until April when its on to my next adventure.
