3rd Year in a Row!

That has to constitute a tradition, right? It also might mean its time to spend Christmas with my family in the US here soon...

I spent all day yesterday rolling out cookie dough, and although we had a small turnout (always frustrating to plan over here - I don't know why I still try!), the girls that did come seemed to have an absolute blast. And the cookies turned out really well!

The 5 "Katie originals" that Katya requested... I love the snowman. :)

I'm an '08 graduate of Elon University, and a currently serving Peace Corps Volunteer in a small city south of the capital of Sofia in Bulgaria.

Until April 2011, I will be continuing to work with Roma youth at the only NGO in my town that works towards efforts of integration in the Roma community. Primarily, I help run an afterschool program that incorporates life skills, English and Bulgarian language classes, arts and crafts, and sports.

It's been a bumpy road, but after a ski accident that brought me home for the better part of a year only 6 months into my service, I'm in it for the long haul! Or at least until April when its on to my next adventure.
